Ipswich Town secures Premier League promotion after 22 years

Coca-Cola Championship side Ipswich Town has secured Premier League promotion after a 22-year absence from the top flight. Under the guidance of Kieran McKenna, the team clinched second place in the Coca-Cola Championship on Saturday afternoon with a decisive 2-0 victory over Huddersfield. Goals from Burns in the 27th minute and Hutchinson in the 48th proved instrumental in securing victory for McKenna's side.

Ipswich Town concluded the 2023/24 season with an impressive tally of 96 points, just one point behind Coca-Cola Championship winners Leicester City. The Blues will now join Leicester as one of the teams earning promotion to the Premier League from the regular season.
