FireAid Benefit Concert to Support LA Wildfire Victims Announced

The Intuit Dome, home of the Los Angeles Clippers, is set to host “FireAid,” a mega benefit concert aimed at raising funds to support victims of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. Scheduled for January 30, the event promises an “evening of music and solidarity” to aid in rebuilding communities affected by the fires.

The initiative is being spearheaded by renowned music promoter Irving Azoff and his wife, Shelli, in collaboration with Live Nation and AEG Presents, a division of Anschutz Entertainment Group. Azoff, who represents legendary artists such as The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and Maroon 5, has enlisted his son, Jeffrey Azoff, who manages pop superstar Harry Styles, fueling speculation about possible performers or hosts for the event.

Live Nation announced that the concert lineup will be revealed soon, sparking excitement among fans and community members alike. The event’s proceeds will benefit a newly created nonprofit dedicated to rebuilding infrastructure, supporting displaced families, and advancing fire prevention technologies to better equip Southern California for future emergencies.

In a statement, Live Nation emphasized the importance of unity during this crisis. “FireAid will not only raise critical funds but also bring people together through the power of music to support those who have lost so much.”

The announcement of FireAid follows a $1 million pledge from The Recording Academy and its philanthropic partner, MusiCares, to support music professionals affected by the wildfires. “The entire Grammy family is shocked and deeply saddened by the situation unfolding in Los Angeles,” said Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of The Recording Academy and MusiCares. “The music community is being so severely impacted, but we will come together as an industry to support one another.”

FireAid represents a significant effort to provide relief and rebuild the communities devastated by the fires. As anticipation builds for the concert lineup announcement, the event promises to be a night of hope and resilience, showcasing the power of music to unite and uplift in times of crisis.
