Tragedy Strikes Again: Gas Explosion Claims Lives in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos on Wednesday

Another devastating gas explosion has rocked Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, claiming the lives of two individuals, injuring three, and leaving a trail of destruction with four shops razed to the ground.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the tragic incident via his official social media handle, stating the grim reality of the situation. He wrote: "It is just a week and we have recorded another gas explosion at a gas retail shop, this time in Ibeju-Lekki. 

"Sadly, two persons died, three persons sustained injuries and four shops got razed. 

"Let us prevent avoidable deaths. Let us be safety-conscious at all times!"

The incident highlights the urgent need for stricter safety regulations and enforcement measures within gas retail shops to prevent such catastrophes from recurring.
