In a significant stride towards advancing Nigeria's technological landscape, the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu (@KSHalilu), proudly unveiled a range of cutting-edge NASENI products during a media briefing at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
Among the array of NASENI branded innovations showcased to the media were the NASENI 300 Watts LED Solar Street Lamp, NASENI Laptop, NASENI Lithium battery, and Smartphone. This unveiling follows through on Mr. Halilu's commitment made during the 2023 end-of-year press chat, where he assured the public of new NASENI products hitting the Nigerian markets by the second quarter of 2024.
Earlier in the first quarter of 2024, Mr. Halilu had already set the stage for this technological leap by introducing groundbreaking products such as the Solar Irrigation Pump System, electric tricycle, and motorbike during the visit of the Senate Committee on NASENI, chaired by Senator Ezenwa Francis Onyewuchi.
A techpreneur and industrialist at heart, Mr. Halilu emphasized his leadership philosophy of not just keeping NASENI's research and development (R&D) results on shelves but actively bringing them to market to positively impact people's lives. He stated, "Through accelerated technology transfers and massive domestications, the renewed hope agenda of the Federal Government is on its full course in NASENI."This unveiling not only underscores NASENI's pivotal role in driving technological advancements but also reflects Nigeria's commitment to fostering innovation and local manufacturing capabilities. As NASENI continues to bridge the gap between research and market, it paves the way for a future where homegrown solutions drive sustainable development and economic prosperity in Nigeria.
