Ikpehai expressed concern over the existence of "yahoo schools" across the country, dedicated to teaching individuals cybercrimes. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between ISSAN and the EFCC to address this alarming trend effectively.
Furthermore, Ikpehai highlighted ISSAN's initiatives in educating secondary school students, university students, and the general public about cyber security, including defense against cyber-bullying, cyber-stalking, and other cyber threats. He commended the EFCC's Eagle Eye app as a valuable tool in combating internet fraud.
In response, Ola Olukoyede, Executive Chairman of the EFCC, acknowledged ISSAN's commitment to cyber security and affirmed the EFCC's dedication to collaborating with the Society. Olukoyede stressed the importance of engaging all stakeholders in the fight against cybercrime and ensuring the adoption of technology-driven approaches to combat evolving cyber threats.
He reassured that the EFCC would remain proactive in staying ahead of cybercriminals, emphasizing the necessity of employing technology-driven solutions to combat technology-driven crimes.
